O edifício deste belíssimo hotel foi construído pelo Delegoa Bay Land Syndicate como parte de um projecto do arquitecto Walter Reid. Demorou 19 meses a ser construído com um orçamento de 200.000 libras esterlinas. O hotel foi inaugurado a 1 de Junho de 1922. Desde então, foi renovado por várias vezes, tendo a maior renovação de todas iniciado em Outubro de 1990. O resultado é ainda hoje visível. O edifício climatizado compreende um total de 177 quartos, um hall de entrada com recepção em serviço sob 24 h e serviço de quartos. As comodidades incluem um cofre, possibilidades de câmbio monetário, bengaleiro, elevador, café, cabeleireiro, bar, restaurante, acesso à Internet, serviços de quartos e lavandaria, como também lugares de estacionamento.
